Translate surfaces into practical panels

Covers and textile protection surfaces must fit the intended geometry and work with available material widths. Divide large areas into panels that account for joins, attachments and subsequent construction.

Check joins and material together

Seams, overlaps and attachment points require different allowances. Coated or direction-dependent materials can limit rotation in the marker. Document these rules for each product family.

Test with an actual cover

Choose a known shape and check the process from template to fitted sample. Use reference measurements and identify matching edges. Specialised 3D flattening and industry-specific add-ons must be assessed separately.

  • Define usable material width
  • Identify joins and attachments
  • Check fit on an installed sample
