Geometry in its application context

Technical textile components place particular demands on orientation, joins and repeatability. A digital contour records shape. Material, construction and application determine the tolerances and tests required.

Name directions and layers clearly

Orientation and order need to be clear in multilayer constructions. Use unambiguous piece names and document the material group. Pieces that look similar can serve different functional purposes.

Include approvals beyond the drawing

A correct pattern does not replace material or component testing. Define who approves dimensions, construction and function. Verify data exchange using a representative test piece before series cutting.

  • Document material direction and layers
  • Identify revisions clearly
  • Define acceptance criteria before the test cut
