An outline with a clear purpose
A pattern piece is more than a closed shape. Cutting lines, stitch lines, grainlines and notches carry different information. CutCortex brings them into a digital design you can edit, vary and prepare for a marker.
From a base pattern to a finished piece
Start with new geometry or an existing template. Construct the outside contour, refine curves and add manufacturing information. Check matching edges before duplicating parts.
- Edit contours and curves deliberately
- Account for seam allowances, notches and labels
- Give pieces clear names and assign them to a material group
A change you can trace
Moving a seam on an upholstery cover can affect several adjacent pieces. Compare joining lengths and markers with the previous version. Clearly named revisions make handover between design and cutting easier.
Before release
Check for open outlines, duplicate lines and tiny segments. A visually clean drawing is not yet a machine release. A test cut in your actual material remains part of production.
