How it is calculated
Material required = net piece area ÷ utilisation. With a net area of 1,000 m², 75% utilisation requires approximately 1,333.33 m² of material; at 80%, it requires 1,250 m². The difference is 83.33 m².
Monthly material effect = difference × material cost. Annual effect after software cost = monthly effect × 12 − annual software cost. A payback period is calculated only when the material effect is positive.
What the result does not include
This is a calculation scenario, not a measured performance promise. Actual utilisation may differ. Labour, training, hardware, financing, taxes, remnant recovery and additional process costs are excluded. Net area and material cost must use the same reference basis.
